National Human Rights Action Plan Baseline Study Meeting On 27 – 28 August 2014

SUBANG JAYA, AUGUST 28, 2014 – A special meeting on the baseline study for development of Malaysia’s first National Human Rights Action Plan (NHRAP) was held at Holiday Villa Hotels & Suites, Subang Jaya. The meeting was attended by 21 academicians from various local universities appointed to carry out the baseline study. Also in attendance were 40 government officials representing member agencies of the NHRAP Technical Committees. The meeting achieved its two (2) main objectives of gathering information and obtaining views towards determining the Malaysian concept of human rights and listing of human rights issues in the country.
